MOTIVATING MENTORING

I am who I am because of the mentors who have stood with me. Now that I am older, I wish I could have had mentors earlier in my life. That’s why we’re here.

COHORT-BASED

Students learn from each other. At Forward, at least two trained adult mentors lead a cohort of five students (in-school) over lunch while engaging in creative and interactive topics that inspire students to grow and adapt to challenges they face.

LONG-TERM PRESENCE

It takes time to build trust. It takes even more time to develop healthy habits. Mentors commit to lead a cohort of freshman students through high school graduation. We partner with educators and school counselors to provide the best experience for our forward mentees and mentors.

FUN-CENTIVES

From mid-semester prizes to end-of-semester celebrations and awards, we understand the need for positive reinforcements throughout the year to help our students see and feel the growth they’ve made.

“What students need more than anything is positive adult relationships”

— Mike J., School Principal
